This gun cabinet is six feet tall, 30 inches wide, and 15 inches deep. The top moulding is over three inches wide and was made entirely by hand using moulding planes and carving gouges. It is a traditional acanthus leaf pattern with the tops curling over. The center rail of the raised panel doors has a simple stylized initials of the owner.
Modern magnetic locks were used so the surface is unbroken. The yokes for the gun barrels were made adjustable in height to accomodate small rifles to large shotguns, and are deep enough to safely store scoped rifles. Pistol pegs at the bottom allow storage of pistols between the shoulder arms.
