This head, carved out of mesquite, was made as a study in human form. It is smaller than life size, at 8.5"x5"x6.5". Photographed after two years, you can get an idea of the color that mesquite develops over time when it's finished in oil and wax. Time in a sunny location will deepen the hue and speed up the process as well.
